Work, what a wonderful think to have to do. A thing that people have to do to live. Or just waste time for some. For Carla it was a place of hell and boredom but it was much better than having to watch her mother’s best friends twins. Now that hob was to hell and back for anyone. Made Cary a little happy that she would never have to have children. Well unless the girl she would be with wanted one. Then they would just get an older female.
With that Cary let her fingers run carelessly through her brown bangs that had been hanging in front of her face for the last five minutes. As her fingers reached the very tips of her hair did they fall in loosely behind her ear. With a short sigh she then placed her elbows on the glass front counter. After that Cary placed her hands in her face and looked broadly out into space.
Normally the shop was full of people, but today seemed to be different. Yet Cary found looking at her mother’s poplar small shop more boarding than usual. Maybe it was because the ratio was broken, Hale was out so neither Carla or her mother asked him to try to fix it. For some odd reason he wasn’t home this morning, kinda bugged Cary to find her big brother not home in the morning. She worried about him a lot. Only that was normal thing to do, so she tried not to bug him about things like that too much.
Letting her deep brown eyes move about the room did she spot Molly the only other worker here besides her mother who was in the back doing only god knows what. Molly was just a little older then Cary, but there was really no room for conversation. For one Cary didn’t like talking and two Molly seemed to keep herself busy with refolding clothing and straightening out other small things. With all of that , Cary was sadly stuck with counter today and had nothing better to do than stare blankly at nothing.
The only good thing that seemed to be going on today for her was the fact she had lunch coming up father soon. With that though in mind did Cary bring her glaze away from the empty room to the window just a few feet away from her. She knew clearly why things happened to be so slow today. It was most likely because there was not a cloud in that bright blue summer sky. What a lovely thing it was.
Only she couldn’t help but wonder if it just looked nice out or if it really was. She could surely see that there were many people walking by on the boardwalk, but that still really didn’t answer her question. There were always people on the boardwalk. Plus with the cool air rushing over her pale skin every second she couldn’t really tell just how hot it really was out there. On a day like this it would surely be nice to see Hale and go out for a little hang out. The two of them didn’t do that too much anymore.
Hale was always hanging out with his best friend Ash. Hell half the time he left in the middle of the night to go out. Cary thought it was insane something’s, but she was just happy he was. But Hale and Ash were pretty much the only things to really put a real smile on her face anymore. Yet she still had yet to tell Hale about that night two years back. Well and the fact she did not like guys in the right way anymore. Both of those were going to be big shockers to him.
Carry had only just told her mother she was gay a few weeks ago. Only she still held on ever so tightly on to her deepest secret. That seemed to be the one thing she couldn’t let go of, ever. Just thinking about it now made her eyes slowly become glossy and watery.
Bring her one hand up quickly did she ran it across her bare eyes. Removing any water from her lovely deep brown eyes. Clear of any type of tear did they look. It was almost as if she hadn’t almost started crying at all and just simply looked sad. Only that was nothing new to anyone, well besides Hale. Cary never let her sadness show around him. She didn’t want him losing sleep over her unspoken words.
"Carla just going to the bathroom be right back darling.” Molly called out of the blue with a small wave of her deep brown hand. After that she made her way towards the back to the staff bathrooms. Cary didn’t get a word out and left her laughing weakly to herself. Once again did she glace away from the empty shop and back to the bright blue sky, just waiting for someone to come into this small little shop. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - × "Shuuuuuush!" A harsh groan left Hale's dry throat, his eyelids clenching together more tightly from the rays of sun seeping past the drapes. His fingers pushed into his hairline, nails gripping against the strands as the alarm clock continued to sound off. With each chime, the male flinched, another echo spinning around in his head like an empty hallway. Apparently, he hadn't been all there the night before, and set his alarm before passing out. Unlucky for him, it was his day off. Maybe it had been his exhaustion, or the throbbing in his shoulder from where that bitch of a vampire clawed at. Either way, whatever it was, Hale wasn't happy about being woken up earlier than he wanted.
× Pulling his head up from the pillow, his eyelids slowly opened, and he instantly regretted it. The light was bright, hitting against his face. Groaning, he pushed off of his stomach and rolled onto his side, his arm stretched out for his alarm clock on the night stand. With a huff, he yanked it up and through it across the room. It hit his closet doors and smashed to the ground, no longer sounding off the annoying alarm. With a smug smile, Hale rolled back over onto his stomach and stuffed his hands under his pillow, settling back into a comfortable position to go back to sleep in. It didn't take long for sleep to come, either. He was dead beat from the hunt in the graveyard, and it clearly showed with the dark circles under his eyes. He wanted to get a little more sleep before he went to go see his Sister. She worried about him enough as it was.
× The next thing to wake Hale up was his cell phone. He had gotten another couple hours of sleep, so he was more awake this time as he reached over and pulled it off the stand. With a lazy shuffle onto his back, he flipped it open and pressed it against his ear. "Yeah?" It wasn't a nice greeting, and his voice was still thick with sleep, but he didn't give a shit. It was two in the afternoon, whoever was calling should've been smarter than to call him. "You wanna borrow my what? Why?" It was Ash, asking if he could borrow the Impala for the day. Something about library work, or something. Sitting up, he racked his hand through his hair, before dropping his arm down to scratch his bare chest. "Fuck, I guess so . . . But if you get one scratch on her, God help me." Saying goodbye, he closed the phone and kicked his blankets off his legs. Standing up, readjusting his boxers, he dropped his phone onto his bed and shuffled out of his room.
× Padding down the hallway, the wooden floor cold against his bare feet, he made it to the bathroom. Not bothering to close to door, knowing that everyone was at work, he started the shower. When the water was warm enough, he slipped out of his boxers and got in, closing the glass door behind him. It didn't take him long to finish up, all he really had to do was wash himself, and his hair. Pulling the knobs off, he pushed his hands over his hair, smoothing it back and out of his face. Hooking his hand around the glass sliding door, he slid it open ajar and poked his head and arm out, reaching for his towel. Immediately, he stopped moving, his eyes connecting with the figure in the door frame. Jem.
× The doberman barked, seating herself patiently at the only exit from the bathroom, her black eyes watching him. It was clear to see that Hale and Jem didn't get along, not at all. Carla, on the other hand, got the good pass from Jem. Even though Jem had originally been his own, she was giving Hale the back end of things. Not that he cared too much, he had a lot more other things to take care of than a dog. He just wished that she wasn't such a bitch to him half the time. "Shoo, mutt. Get outta here, ya perv." This time Hale received a small growl in return. Narrowing his eyes into dangerous slits, he quickly reached for his towel and pulled it off the rack. Just as fast, he pulled it inside the shower, banging his arm against the sliding glass door on his way. Cursing, he groaned and wrapped the towel around his waist, rolling his eyes. He could still see the female dog through the glass, though it was blurred all to hell.
× Making sure his towel was secured on his waist, Hale opened the doors fully this time, his eyes staring Jem down. With one of his hands gripping the knot that he had made with his towel, he slowly stepped out of the shower onto the bathmat, his eyes still locked on Jem's. Frowning, he took another step forward, and the doberman instantly stood up, her eyes dangerously watching him. "Uh, for Christ sakes, dog! Get the hell outta my way!" Rolling his eyes, he reached down and grabbed his boxers. With a wicked smile curing his lips, he was fast. Throwing them at her head, she was a little lagged, and couldn't catch them in time before they covered her eyes and snout. Hale, thinking quickly, dashed for the door and leaped over the dog as she tried desperately to separate the boxers and her head.
× Quickly, Hale dashed down the hallway and pushed inside his room. Closing the door, he sighed, leaning against it. It had been like this for a while, having to fight his way out of the bathroom, his room, or the kitchen. You'd think the dog had something better to do than torment him like this. Shrugged his shoulders, ignoring the cold sting the air was pushing against his bare skin, he moved over towards his closet. Picking up the alarm clock, pieces hanging off here and there, he tossed it into the garbage can. Leaning down, he grabbed a pair of jeans and two shirts. One a muscle shirt, kind of bright, though it felt nicely, the other a pale green t shirt. Laying the shirts out onto his bed, he found another pair of boxers and slipped them on. Next, he pulled the clean-looking jeans up to his waist, doing them up, before wrapping a belt through the loops. Turning his back from his door, he moved to hook his towel up on his closet hook, when he heard a scratch at his door.
× Hale thought he had closed the door fully, so he didn't bother turning around. It wasn't until he heard Jem growling that he turned around. Instantly, his jaw pulled open, and he shot the dog a furious glare. She was tugging around the shirts he had just laid on the bed, tearing at them viciously. "The fuck are you doing!?" Hale stomped towards her and she instantly dropped the threads. He took another angry step, and she turned on her paws and high tailed it down the stairs. Growling under his breath, Hale picked up the shirt and muscle shirt, looking at the collar in both garments. She had ripped a nasty hole in the green t shirt, and there were a little holes in the orange one. Sighing, he whipped her saliva off of them with his hanging towel, and pulled them on. He couldn't care less about holes, as long as his goods were covered. Of course, he'd yell at Carla to do something about her dog before she ripped up anything else of his, even if he kind of deserved it. Hale knew that if someone dropped a pair of boxers on his face, he wouldn't be that nice to their clothes either.
× By the time he was in the kitchen, Ash had already taken the Impala to the University library. Hale couldn't help but think he was a little nerd because of it. No one spent their day off searching up shit on vampires. Especially not in a library like that. Though, he suited it. He looked like he'd be in University, so it made things a little easier when they had to lie their way inside, or out of a situation. Hale, on the other hand, if he didn't have Ash by his side, he wouldn't be able to get himself out of that mess. He'd get thrown out, or the cops called. And, if there was one thing he hated more than Vampires, it was the law, and the ones enforcing it.
× Grabbing his house keys, he slipped into his boots and pulled himself out the door. Locking it, he almost skipped down the porch steps into the driveway, when he remembered that his baby wasn't there. Hale was too accustomed to her being waiting for him, that he had forgotten in the short time it took to look out his kitchen window, until now. Pushing onto the sidewalk, he stuffed his hands into his pockets, and headed towards the store on the boardwalk.
× It took longer than what Hale would've wanted, but he didn't mind too much. He had grabbed some food for his Sister and him to munch on while he was visiting her. He had left the afternoon the day before, and he knew that she would've noticed his absence in the morning as well, so this was his way of making it up to her. A brown paper bag was in his hand, his fingers curled around the top as he pushed into the store, a tray that held their drinks in his opposite one. Carla seemed off in thought, so he didn't bother saying anything, knowing that he'd have the element of surprise. Reaching the counter, he slammed the bag down with a loud thud, and smirked when she jumped. "Hungry, slacker?" He pushed the bag towards her, and pulled out his cup of coffee from the tray, opening it hastily and taking a large swig. Hmm . . . caffeine. "Thought I'd stop by, see what you were doin'."
× With a small sigh, he let the cup of coffee rest on the counter, reaching into the bag and pulling out a large hamburger for himself. He took a small bite, wanting to take his time, so it didn't seem that he was sticking around just for her after he was finished. He loved Carla, but he didn't want her to know that he was looking over her as much as he was. His eyes trailed over her face, his eyebrows pulling together in slight confusion. She looked like she had been crying, or was about to. No matter how much she tried to hide it, Hale could tell. He had been her brother for quite a while, and he knew when something was bugging her. Frowning, he pushed around the counter and pulled up a stool, sitting himself down. Leaning into her, he pulled his shirt out a bit, showing her the collar, hoping she'd cheer up a little at his misfortune. "Jem, apparently, doesn't like my choice in clothing anymore."

Carla's mind seemed to move farther and farther away from the little shop on the boardwalk and deeper into her mind. Thoughts were crazy in there and she knew she was completely spaced out. the opening and closing of the door just a few feet didn't bring her back. Not even the loud ring of the door did anything to bring her back to the real fucked up world.
Maybe it was because her deep thoughts knew she someone else would do something about it. Only with a loud sound right by her hands she felt herself jump a little before quickly looking for where the noise came from. she felt a small frown pull on her lips as she first spotted a brown paper bag and two drinks, only with a sound of a voice she knew right away why they where there.
The smile finally came over her lips as she looked up to she Hale. Her brother for once came to see her. He should after that he had been pulling off lately. Sure he was old enough to come and go as he wished but Carla didn't like the night at all anymore and worried greatly about what her brother could be getting himself with. After all he was cocky and not the smartest when it came to people. Picking fights, she just hoped that Ash was keeping him in line.
"One I'm not the slacker in the family and two, yes, yes I am. Oh and three you just saved me from hell." she said with a small laugh well pulling the brown bag closer to her to take a small peek inside it. Seeing the hamburger she rolled her eyes and knew right away that she should have known that was what he got her. After that she pulled her own drink over and took a small sip.
"What else do I do?" She asked him well keeping the drink close to her full lips, well looking over at Hale from the corner of her eye. Hale should know that she doesn't go out anymore, hell she was surprised he hadn't said anything about it yet. Maybe it really did look like mum need the help, but really half the time she was just here to kill the time. Plus she got cash out of the deal, it was nice.
Just then Hale too a large bite out of her food. Man he sure could pack it down fast. Sometimes she didn't know where her put all the food he ate. He was like a black hole on earth. Everything he ate didn't really go anywhere, maybe that was the reason he was always eating and never got fat. But then again, Hale was very fit, only Carla never knew he worked out. It was an odd thing about Hale.
Only before she could comment again, Hale leaned closer to her and pulled out his shirt. Carla frown a little, it was all ripped. He looked like he had been attacked by something. Only with the few words that left Hale's mouth she couldn't help but laugh. "You really do need to learn to get along with her. If you want I can fix that later. Just leave it on my bed." She said with a bright smile and a small shrug of her shoulder.
Placing her cup back down she looked around the room to see Molly come out of the bathroom. She frown a little and then glanced back at Hale. Molly hadn't seen Hale before and Carla always sees Molly being a whore with any good looking male that came in here. So she need to get Hale to the back and fast. "Come on, lunch break." She said in her normally low and calm voice.
Getting up she picked up the brown bag and then her drink in the other hand. "And if your wondering why were moving, your going to make a mess up here. Mom will be pissed." She said glancing at Hale as she work her way pass him.
Only Carla stopped short as she heard a voice she really didn't want to hear at that very moment. "Hey Carla, who's this?" Slowly turning all the way around with a tight grip on her brown fast food bag she gave a weak smile towards Molly. Carla bite down on her lip a little and took in a slow breath. Should she lie? Or should she just say it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - × The fact that he had scared her made Hale smirk with a childish element. It was unlike anything in the world than to scare his younger sister. What else were big brothers for, apart from protection against the creepy crawly things in the dark (of course, unless they were spiders; Carla could handle those on her own without Hale's help). Bugging her was one of his favorite past times, and it kept things simple between them, light and easy. He didn't lay down serious discussions with her because he didn't want her to think that he was looking for a straight relationship with her; being silly and fun was how he liked to keep it, especially with his sister. And it wasn't like Carla wanted very serious discussions from him, anyway. He was pretty much the only entertainment that she got, as far as he knew, considering she never went anywhere. Her friends . . . well, what friends? Hale was her television, and he was always playing the comedy channel. There was nothing more amazing than seeing her smile.
× After her eyes lifted to meet his, it was only a couple seconds before she was smiling up at him. Grinning back, he tried to keep the heart-warming family moment out of his head and ignored the sappiness he could feel whelming inside of him. If any of the male hunters saw him get like this, he'd be screwed. They'd never let him live it down that he was completely at home with his sister when she was just smiling. In fact, he could most likely be dying in his own pool of blood, and as long as he was watching her smile, or at least looking at a picture of her smiling, he knew that he could die peacefully. Inhaling slowly, he let his smile weaken a bit, not wanting the sides of his cheeks to hurt from doing it for so long. It was, ironically, hurtful to be happy all the time. Maybe it was a good thing that Carla and Hale weren't always smiling, then?
× "Whoa, 'ey! I'm not the family slacker." Watching her as she curiously peeked inside the brown bag, he grinned at her eye-roll. Was he that predictable? If she didn't like what he had brought, he could easily eat both their shares without a hesitating moment to think it over. Not that he'd actually eat in front of her unless she said she wasn't interested in eating, of course. "And it's not like you're doin' much of anything in here. Well, nothin' but spacing out and taking shit easy. You should get a real job." Pausing for a moment, his eyebrows pulled together, and he leaned against the counter. "And nah, workin' for Mom doesn't cut it, kid." Hale resisted the urge to lean over and ruffle her hair playfully, knowing that she'd most likely hit him if he did, and he didn't know if he could withstand a hit to a bruise. His chest, unfortunately, was covered with them.
× Shrugging towards her question about what else she does, Hale raised his cup of coffee back up to his lips, taking a long, meaningful swig. At this rate, he'd have to run down the street to grab another cup. Couldn't get enough of coffee; in fact, it was one of Hale's weaknesses. Besides hot women and classic cars. "God only knows what else you do while sitting at home in front of the television. You could be planning a masterplot to take over the world, and no one would suspect you because you don't do anything to make you seem all evil and . . . stuff." Frowning at his lame reasoning, Hale grumbled a silent remark to himself about not thinking before opening his mouth and took another bite of his burger, now double handing his drink and food. Typical, typical Hale. "Why don't you get out and do anything, again? I hear tanning's a pretty good way to meet a low-class asshole who I can beat up after you dump him." Joking, of course, though the thought was amusing.
× Arching a brow, Hale let his shirt go and settled it back on his torso like it had been a moment ago. Taking a large bite, he chewed as best as he could before starting to talk to her, knowing that she was used to him taking with his mouth full, so she'd understand what he meant. For the most part. "Seriously, Carly? It's bloody impossible to get along with that mutt. It's like she has some kind of smell-mode that makes her get all angry and aggressive whenever she gets a whiff of me." Now, if women had that same affect, he doubted he'd be complaining. But women didn't bite chunks outta your ass when you had your back turned, minding your own business. Unless, of course, it was a dog. "Corner me in the shower. Wasn't even dressed, and she was ready to eat me alive." Swallowing all that was in his mouth, finally, he wiped off the side of his mouth where he had gotten a bit of ketchup and licked his finger off. "Nah, I'll keep it this way. Makes me look more studdly, and dangerous."
× Watching as she pushed off her stool after grabbing her drink and the brown bag, Hale narrowed his eyes questionably before sliding off his stool as well. Lunch break? Sounded fair enough. Customers most likely wouldn't enjoy watching their cashier eating while they purchased their clothes. Hale'd most likely get pissed if that ever happened to him, personally. "I wont make a mess. It's not like I don't know where my mouth is. I stuff it enough, as you should know." Nonetheless, despite his defensive comment, he started to follow his sister towards the back. He hadn't been back there a lot, hating the smell that one of the employees always sprayed on themselves, but he'd tough it out for Carla. Even if it made his head hurt.
× Nearing walking right into Carla's back, Hale jumped a little and did a small back step, nearly knocking himself off balance. Why the hell did she stop so suddenly!? Glancing to the side, his eyes caught sight of Molly and he realized that he hadn't even heard her say anything. Blinking, he glanced down a this sister, wondering why he felt like he was getting stared at. Apart from the fact that Molly was literally staring at him. It was eerie, the feeling like she was looking straight through him. The fact that she was looking so hard, her eyes narrowed, lips pulled tight in thought, that freaked him out. Did he still have ketchup on his face? As Carla started to introduce him, he lifted his hand and quickly dragged the back of it over his lips, trying to make it seem as though he was paranoid. When he realized that there wasn't anything unwanted on his face, he relaxed a little. Eying Carla as she paused, about to say his name, he exhaled and took a sip of his coffee. When she still didn't say anything, he swallowed what was in his mouth and let the cup drop a little from his face.
× "What Carla's choking on is, 'This is my Brother.' She forgot to take her intelligence pill this morning." Hale grinned, indicating that he was obviously kidding around, completely clueless to the fact that Carla had been trying to save him. Besides, even if he had known, it would've been odd, pretending to be her boyfriend. Anything beyond hugging was a little far for Hale, even pretending would cross a line. "The name's Hale, sweets. And I'm hungry," He would've extended his hand, but they were both full and his stomach was too empty to be a gentlemen, especially to a stranger. "Catch you later, or somethin'." Nudging Carla forward, he waited for her to start walking into the back to follow her, kicking the door closed with a gentle thud behind them. Instantly, Hale frowned, the smell engulfing his nose. Yep. Definitely perfume.
× Kicking out a chair, he plopped down and leaned his feet up on the coffee table, setting his drink down in his lap while he took another bite of his burger, this told holding it with both hands. Not that there was much left. Glancing around, checking the place out silently. Slowly, his eyes found Carla again and he leaned back a little more in his chair, closing his eyes. "So, brat, what were you dazing off about when I scared the shit outta you a few minutes ago?" He was curious, as well as concerned. Carla wasn't much of a daydreamer, and it usually took a lot of boredom or something heavily on her mind to make her get out of it like that, especially while she's working.

Rolling her deep brown eyes Carla knew he was just trying to get out of being the slacker. “You totally are, liar” she said the smile still playing on her pale pink lips. Carla and her mother worked all the time well Hale slept through the day and left at night. She had no idea if he really had a job. If he did he kept it away from them. With him bring money home every now and again it did raise some questions. After all it was always a lot at once. It was more than a little strange.
Smelling of what came in the paper bag she felt her tummy rumble and she placed her hand there trying to quiet it. “Yeah, yeah. This is what we call, slow hours.” She said with a small laugh before taking a small sip of the drink Hale had gotten for her. She could taste it and knew right away it was Rootbeer. It was no surprise seeing as Hale and Carla didn’t like the same drinks, but Rootbeer was some of them.
Swallowing what she took into her mouth did Carla reach across the counter to hit Hale with the brown paper bag. Once she mouth was clear of her drink did she comment.” And this is too a job. I get paid, it’s better then what you do? Hell sometimes I don’t think you have a job.” She said knowing that he would most likely brush that aside. Carla had asked him what he was doing for work a few times but never really got an answer from him. It was frustrating but there was nothing much she could do about it.
Hale took another long swig of her coffee, the thought of coffee in her mouth made her nose crinkle up slightly. She didn’t mind the smell of the stuff, but man was it gross. She liked hot chocolate and that was about it. She could take tea every now and again, but not too much. “Gross, I still can’t believe you like that stuff. It’s icky.” She said simply well showing her face of discus towards the drink Hale drank so much off. With that did she start moving towards the back, not wanting to sit at the counter any longer with food. It was rude and it would piss off mom and she really didn’t need that.
Only what Hale seemed to ramble on about Carla having no life made her laugh. It was true she could surely take over the world if she really wanted too. Well not that she wanted too, but she had nothing better to do. It would be a lot of work and really she’d rather not so she wondered where he got that idea. Maybe it was lack of sleep or something. “Oh yes, didn’t I tell ya? I’m taking over the world. You can have Canada.” She said letting a small childish smirk play over her lips. Carla wasn’t one for using sarcasms but with Hale it just seemed to happen. Maybe since he had so much of it in him, it shone off him and into her. It was like the sun shining down on earth. Only instead of heating up the earth he made people sacristy.
Hale seemed to have the same train of thought after he spoke. For once he asked her why she didn’t go out and talk to people. Be normal like he was. Hale always went out when he was her age, Carla was more like a hermit. Not going anywhere and liked living isolated and alone. Sure her home wasn’t in the woods but that was okay with her, the dark woods kinda creped her out a little. Maybe a little more than a little.
Tanning? He wanted her to go tanning? She laughed at that, feeling her smile pulling up into her cheeks. ”Do you really want me to be orange? I think not. I’ll pass at that.” She started pushing her elbows onto the counter and placed the paper bag down. Pushing her chine into her hand did she rest her head there well looking at Hale. It seemed like the two would be talking there for a little before going to eat. Even if she was hungry it was okay. Hale was here and talking. Something she liked doing. Just hanging out with her brother was always nice. It was fun and she didn’t get much of that. It also really took her mind off things that she’d normally thing about. It was like the world flipped over to joyful and happy when he was hanging out with her. It was really, really nice.
Then he stated that Carla should hook up with an ass, a guy none the less. Hale had no idea that Carla wasn’t into guy yet. She hadn’t gotten the courage to do it yet. She was afraid of his reaction to it. She didn’t want him to be disused with her to think that she was a freak. Carla didn’t know what she’d do without him caring about her like he did. It was the main reason she was still alive after being. . .rapped.
“If you need to kick someone’s ass, just pick some random kid at my school. They’re almost all asses.” She said pushing a fake smile onto her lips since her mind was still partly on the fact that Hale didn’t know she was gay yet. It hurt her keeping it from him, but she needed to find the perfect time to tell him. Well that and she needed to have him sitting so he wouldn’t fall over. He tended to do that when things really surprised him.
Hale had just taken a big bit out his burger and Carla felt herself roll her eyes again. Hale was taking with his mouth full again. She was used to it, but that didn’t means he wasn’t going to tell him otherwise. “What was that? I couldn’t hear you your mouth seemed to have something in it.” She started off before carrying on. “Maybe because you don’t show her enough love.” She finished in a matter-of-fact type of tone and gave him her own smirk.
The smile didn’t leave her lips but the smirk was cleaned off. “Hale, you don’t need to tell me that. I do not wish to know how you want to get a girl.” She said shaking her head and closing her eyes. She found that type of conversation with Hale slightly awkward. Thinking of anything to do with a female and Hale was like learning that your mother and father had to have sex to make you. Really gross and make you sacred for life.
Finally the two were able to start moving away from the front corner. That made Carla happy and her tummy too. She could feel another rumble move around inside her and she knew she’d be happily eating in no time. There was no way she was going to pig out like Hale. He does make a mess, he just messy. Carla on the other hand eats like a human and not a starving one or an animal for that matter. So she kept her comment to herself.
That was Hale cut her off after she stuttered her way through telling Molly that Hale was her bother. She shot a small glare his way but said nothing. But it was not able to last long as he spoke slightly rude to her. He wanted to go eat as much as Carla did. She was slightly surprised he didn’t stay and ask for her name or something like that. “Ah, bye Molly. I won’t be too long.” Carla said twisting around slightly as she was pushed into the back.
With hat did she look around the odd smelling room. It was small and hardly had any light in it. There was a small table in the middle of the room with about five chairs going around it. Grabbing one across from Hale did she sit down and finally opened he brown paper bag and pull out her food. Opening it up did she smile before biting into it. She felt herself chewing away when Hale spoke. She didn’t want to talk right just get some food in her. But she cleared her mouth and took another sip of her pop before replying.
“I was. . .” what had she been thinking about? Well how much life sucked and that she wanted to be in a place were bad things didn’t happen. So Carla was going to lie. “Nothing really. Just school crap.” She said before smiling at Hale and biting into her food again. She knew Hale wouldn’t buy it but whatever. She would change the subject so she moved her hand up to her mouth and spoke. “Why are you being nice?” She said before swallowing her food. “Bring me food and all this? Could it be that you missed me?” She finally finished with a small tease.Playing Out// Surrender --Barlow Girl Spoken For\\ Hale News To// 1,515 Dress Up\\ Outfit
