- - - - overall personality, Bella is quiet and self conscious. In other words, she is really shy. Most people don’t really understand the true meaning of shyness. When you’re a kid, adults smile and say it’s cute. But it isn’t cute. If they knew the way it felt to have your stomach twist in knots and your tongue tie up, they wouldn’t think it was cute. And then when you reach high school, you are socially rejected if you’re shy. So, really, what’s so great about it? It’s usually just when she first meets people that she is shy. Or when she’s around guys. After she knows someone for a while though, she starts to warm up and become more outgoing.
Bella is a kind and loving person. She has a big heart, and is willing to let anyone in. This can be both a strength and weakness. On one hand, this allows her to be accepting toward people and create strong bonds. It is something that not everyone is capable of. However, because of this, she also tends to get walked all over. She’s a bit too trusting in people and has learned the hard way that not everyone tells the truth.
She is also compassionate. She can tell when others are suffering and acts very sympathetic toward them. Bella is a good friend and she will be there whenever someone is in need. She tries her hardest to understand others and see their side of the story, even if it is something she doesn’t necessarily believe in. If there is something she can do to help, she will try, even if it may seem impossible.
Bella is emotional. She over reacts to small things and often worries herself over nothing. The slightest things can bring tears to her eyes. She is a bit of a cry baby, but she tries not to show it. She is easily offended and is very sensitive. On the other hand, she is also easily pleased. It is easy to make amends with Bella. She is forgiving and can never stay upset with anyone for long.
Bella is really stubborn. Probably too stubborn for her own good. She rarely loses arguments and never backs down. If faced with a task, she will do everything she can to complete it, even if it’s something impossible to accomplish. Bella always stays true to her heart and does what she believes is right. Once her mind is made up, it isn’t changing. No amount of persuading will sway her. Trying to change her mind is just a waste of time. Anyone who knows her can vouch for this.

- - - - overall history, The first seven years of Bella's life were a happy time. She grew up in a small town and was very close to her family. However, on her seventh birthday, the town she was living in was attacked by vampires. Majority of the people were killed, including her parents. They had hidden their daughter in a secret compartment in the floor, sacrificing themselves for her. Her younger brother, Peter, survived too. The event traumatized Bella, and she didn’t speak for months.
After the attack, Bella and her brother were sent off to different towns where it would be safer. Unfortunately, they were separated during their travels. Bella ended up at an orphanage. She was very shy, and she didn’t fit in well with the other children. She hardly spoke a word, withdrawing from everyone. The vampire attack was still fresh in her mind, something none of the others here had to deal with. As a result, she was left out of the games the other children played. They often teased her about her quietness, thinking she was weird. This is probably why Bella is as self conscious as she is.
When she turned eighteen, Bella left the orphanage and set out on her own. She traveled around for a bit, until she arrived at the town of Ashire. It was a small town and it reminded her somewhat of where she was born. She took comfort in the familiar setting and made her home here. She lives on her own, in a small apartment, working a part time job as a waitress.
