- - - - hair, Usually gelled up in the front in a messy-sprawled-finger kind of way, the light brown hair colour compliments Hale's features especially well. It's longer in the front than it is in the back, though he makes sure to leave enough hair to be gripped, just in case someone wants to get a little frisky.
- - - - build, Being a hunter, Hale has had to work out constantly to maintain the build he currently has. His weight is mainly as high as it is because of the muscle he's put on. His body isn't molded like a God, but he has a six pack to account for. Broad shoulders on either side of his neck, and a little bit of a swing to his legs whenever he's walking.
- - - - weight, one hundred and sixty-eight pounds.
- - - - height, six foot, one inch
- - - - fashion sense, Hale dresses much like a lazy Sunday-er would. Holy and worn work jeans, baggy t shirts with the occasional muscle shirt underneath, and possibly a plaid button up tossed over. He's not much of a shopper, so he makes due with the torn and threaded clothes he has, and wears them until he no longer can. Outwear usually consists of a leather jacket, and a pair of work boots. If he isn't feeling the work boots, he throws on a pair of withering converse. For jewelry, he's always wearing a set of dog tags with his information on it. A few rings, and a tiny bracelet here and there, but nothing that's outstanding or attention grabbing.

- - - - overall history, Hale was born on October the thirteenth into a loving family. His mother and father were both supportive and caring while he was growing up, and Hale's childhood was good. He had an Uncle to look up to when his Father wasn't around, and had silently made him his role model for when he became of age.
His family lived in New Orleans for a while. It was a peaceful place, though despite it's peaceful tendencies and cheery people who resided there, Hale couldn't help but wonder why his uncle was so dead set on keeping his life a secret from his family. His only family. As a child, he was naturally curious, and a troublemaker. But whenever he came close to snooping through his uncle's garage, he'd always get a scolding, and soon enough, a thick bolt had been put over every door to keep him out. He was only four at the time, and finding out his uncles secrets were just the beginning of his tormented life.
When he reached the age of six, his mother had another child. Being as young as he was, he at first felt jealousy about the newborn daughter, but as she grew older as the months went by, she started to grow on him. His baby sister, Carla, became the person he felt the need to protect form anything and everything that might harm her. And to think, this was only at the age of six years old- sometimes he thinks that it was natural instinct that made him so protective over her.
Their Father left after Carla was born, leaving Hale to be the only male in the house. Even with their uncle popping in now and again, it didn't change the fact that he grew up living as through he needed to provide and protect his family. It hadn't taken much of a toll on him, considering his father and him had never been close, but the lack of their father in the house changed him. He learned at a young age that expecting people to always be there wouldn't get you much of anywhere but broken down and withered. In fact, it fueled him to be a better son, as well as a better brother.
Six years after their father had skipped out, their mother proposed that they moved and had a fresh start. Hale, only being thirteen at the time, didn't have much say. It wasn't like he had many friends to hold onto, considering he was too busy trying to be the man of the house he tried to convince himself he was. After the move, Hale wasn't taking to the town as much, and happened to look at the worst in everything. In hopes to get him to lighten up, his uncle and mother banned together and brought home a doberman puppy for him. He allowed his sister to name her, because he hadn't a clue. Jem and him took off to a good start, he'd say, though she was extremely rough. Good guard dog, despite her constant rough housing and bad behavior. However, the more Carla helped with Jem, the more Hale felt her getting hostile towards him, and sucking up to his sister. It wasn't a real loss, considering he wasn't much of an animal person, but he knew that he'd have troubles with her when she grew her full size. And, he was right. Jem was a beast in a mutt's body- vicious and crude, she seemed to enjoy eating his shoes and clothes more than her own kibble.
Their uncle Ross had finally given in with holding his secrets from Hale, and explained the truth about the world to him, and what he did. Hunting. Hale, at first, thought this was just one of his wild stories meant to subdue his curiosity, until he saw it in action. He was terrified, at first. And then he accepted the world for the tarnished concept that it was. Hale told him that he wanted him, and with a lot of arguing and serious discussion, his uncle finally gave in and agreed to train him. However, training wasn't getting in the game, it was just getting him ready for whenever he chose to take the step up.
Everything was good, even with Jem's attitude toward Hale, until the day Hale was pulled aside from one of his classes and told that his uncle had died. It was as if the world had stopped turning, and someone had jabbed a stick of ice through his chest. His body was numb and filled with an icy numb pain that's lingered ever since. At first, the police told the family it had been an animal attack. It was unlikely, but things happen. Later, after further observing, they contacted the family and told them that they were now questioning if it was the doing of a human. Hale shut down quickly after that, with the loss of his best friend, and role model. He knew that it wasn't an animal, or a human being. There was no way. Not with his uncle's line of work. Hale wanted revenge, and he wanted to make sure to rid the world the best he could of the nightmarish creatures that were only supposed to belong in books and movies.
Being twenty-one, Hale took it in his own hands to start hunting. He was raged, and couldn't take the loss of his uncle without some kind of outlet. At first, he was just looking around, leaving in the middle of the night to get a hang of things, to try and find others that could help him in seeking his revenge. His uncle had died while hunting because he had been alone. Hale didn't want to burden his family with another loss because he hadn't made allies with someone to watch his back. Unfortunately, while he was out getting his barrings, something terrible happened to his baby sister. She was raped against her will by someone she couldn't recall, not that it mattered- she had never told Hale about the situation. Even if she had, he had no way of tracking him down without help.
Hale knew there was something wrong with the way Carla had changed, and it was slowly eating at him, but he tried to believe her. That it was just high school eating at her exterior like it did to every other kid. It hurt to look at her frown, so he tried his best to be there for her while hunting the sons of bitches that ruined his family. Along with Carla acting off, both his sister and mother were starting to wonder where he was getting the money for things, and why he was hiding himself so much, and out so late. He said he had a job, but he didn't give specifics. Lying to his family about the supernatural beings who were really real was enough on his mind, he didn't need to be lying about where he was as well.
Hunting started to take over his life, and beside channeling girls and the like, he started to lose himself in his work. He'd be out all night, and sleep in most of the day. His mother was too busy to notice, always in her shop, or trying to find different ways to make money. Carla noticed, however, and Hale tried to make it seem like it was just the toll of some kind of bar job that he was dealing with.
In his mind, he was protecting his family. There was nothing that would change his opinion.

[/BLOCKQUOTE][/BLOCKQUOTE][/font]× Wiping the sleep from his eyes, grumbling to AC DC under his breath, Hale gripped the bag strap wrapped around his shoulder from his back more defensively. His boots pecked with each step against the pavement sidewalk, slick with water from the rain earlier that evening. Hale's gray eyes scanned the grounds as he walked, eying street signs, and occasionally pulling his cell phone out to check the time. He wasn't paranoid, no. He just didn't think he was going to get to the graveyard in time. It worried him, thinking that Ash was going to be all alone while he tried to fight off a few leeches by himself. He wasn't completely useless, though he didn't have the best aim in the world. One wrong move, and he was going to end up killed, and that wasn't something Hale could let happen. If it did, he'd never forgive himself.
× Racking his free hand through his hair, Hale inhaled deeply. The air was still fresh with rain, the scent getting caught in his nose as he exhaled. It was nice, calming. There were only four things that could calm Hale without much difficulty; Carla, Ash, slaying, and rain. Stuffing his hand into the pocket of his leather jacket, he pushed off the sidewalk into the road. Crossing it diagonally with little haste, Hale carried his legs down a trail off the other side of the street. It was the quickest route to the graveyard on foot. It was dark, but that had never stopped him before. The darkness was what he lived in. What good would be hunting vampires in daylight? The only time that happened was when Ash and himself were desperate, and knew they couldn't fight off a coven of vampires without the help of the sun. That rarely happened, however. Yes, Hale and Ash were only human, but they were strong and both intelligent. Ash showed his intelligence more than Hale, and Hale showed his strength more. But together? Vampires feared their names, feared the familiar rumble of Hale's '67 Chevrolet Impala, they even hid within the shadows at the sounds of their voices.
× Toeing the gate to the cemetery open with his boot, Hale glanced around, taking in his surroundings. Clearing his throat, he stepped inside, his right hand instantly gripping the handgun he had pushed into the waistline of his jeans. Pulling the safety off, he held it at his side steadily as he walked, his eyes alert with each step. Ash knew where to meet him, near the front gate of the cemetery. But Hale had to venture through part of the graveyard to reach him. Cautious with each step, Hale held the bag even closer to his back and shoulder, knowing that if it was ripped from his grasp Ash and him were most likely screwed. It held most of their weapons against Vampires, steaks, holy water, specially engendered bullets with blessed guns. If any of those blood suckers wanted to get an advantage against the two of them, their best bet would be to take away their weapons. Which was one of the reasons that Hale insisted that he carried it around instead of Ash. Ash was like a brother to him, despite that they were just friends. He looked out for him like he looked out for Carla, his actual blood sister. If anything happened to either of them, he'd be lost.
× Hale, being who he was, wasn't watching where he was stepping. Instead, his eyes had been on the large tombstones, making sure that nothing was lurking behind them as he passed. His toe clanked against something, and before he could catch himself, he stumbled. His gun flew from his hand, landing in the grass, his knees stopping his fall as his palms grasped the dew-soaked ground. Growling under his breath, he let out a fluid strain of curses under his breath, muttering about just having washed his jeans that morning. Pulling himself back onto his feet, grabbing his gun on his way up, he brushed himself off and re-pulled his jacket onto his shoulders. "Bloody dead people, I tell ya." He glared at the small stone with someone's name engraved in it like it had been their fault for why he had fallen, and not his own stupidity. Sighing, Hale pushed forward, making sure to watch where he stepped, as well as his surroundings. With his luck, the next time he fell, he'd hit a freshly dug out piece of earth and knock the wind out of himself.
× It took a matter of three minutes to locate the front gate without a flashlight. Slowly walking up behind his best friend, grinning like a goof, Hale quickly shoved the male's back with a chuckle. With the way Ash had jumped, Hale could tell that he had scared the shit out of him. Holding his hands up in a joking manner, he pulled the bag off his back and unzipped it. Grabbing Ash's handgun, he held it out for him to take. "You brought the flashlights, right? I nearly broke my damn ankle five minutes ago." Straightening back up after the bag had been zipped, he kicked it beside a bench and glanced around, frowning. "Man, I really hate the dead."
